 Here we go !!!

It is very exciting to see an idea come to life. My wife sharon and I  have had the idea of an online magazine in conjuction with an Indoor Park for quite some time. We can all thank our son Liam's interest in Freestyle BMX  for exposing us to the sport. All along the way, we have met some incredible people. Most of them in their teens and early twenties. A very talented group with cool ideas and perspectives on life. After having the opportunity to visit numerous public parks and several indoor facilities, we have made a few observtions. We are always amazed at how supportive bikers and skaters are of each other; how driven everyone is; the excitement and energy that everyone has for their sport. There are some very talented people hittin our local  parks.  We are constantly impressed by the way some of the older kids have helped the younger kids. I can not possibly put a number on how many times someone has given our sons valuable help.  We also realized that there is a need for a professionally managed indoor park . A place where you can ride year round, host a bunch of contests, to be able to train like the pros, and grow your passion. This past January we were able to stop at a public park in North Carolina. While there my kids had the opportunity to ride with Matt Troy. Not only is Matt a tremdous rider, he is a college student at Eastern Carolina University and a resident of Sandwich. Matt is a great example of the kind of people we have run into. Just the fact that a college student would take the time to ride with a couple of  "little kids" says so much.  Our boys are 6 and 10. Matt's enthusiam for the sport and his excitment about the project only poured more fuel on the fire. Matt's energy and enthusiam are a vital part of this adventure. So step one is under way. This website is here to spotlight the local scene. A chance to create our community of riders. A community with both 2 and 4 wheels. Feel free to send along your thoughts and ideas.
