 Brett Silva  Tailwhips First Spotlight Rider !!

Brett Silva, age fourteen from Sandwich Ma. has been riding a bike for a long time. Following in his dad's footsteps, Brett started racing BMX at the age of four. By the time he was twelve, Brett was ranked second in the state for his age group. Not bad Brett !!. At the same time he had a growing interest in Freestyle bmx. First "bunny hops",and "1 footer" type tricks. Basic 360's evolved in to monster 360's over gaps and rails. Manuals, 180's, hang fives, tuck no handers and a slew of other tricks fill his bag for now....  because the next time you see him I am sure  he'll have  something new nailed. We first met Brett at Sandwich skatepark about a year and a half ago. Since then we have had the opportunity to hangout with him quite abit. Brett is the kind of kid that insipired this site. The dedicated, hard working, polite, respectful kind . Not only does he ride well, he maintains respectable grades at school. He's certainly inspired a bunch of people at Sandwich. Tailwhips was able to get Brett to stop riding long enough to answer a few extremely important  and  insightful questions for us.

 Here we go.

• Years riding:  Started when I was four. Probably started freestyle seriously at about 10 -11.
• Inspirational people:  My parents, Zack Attack! and my friends.
• Tomatos are:   Red
• Current set up:  Fit Aiken - Odyessey wheels and pedals- Fit ECCD Leather saddle - Eclatt Cranks are the best in the world !!  I hope they are listening.
• If you had the world in the palm of you hands what would you do with it?  Clean it
• What do you like best about your bike:  My grips
• Your favorite riders are:   Zack Cooke, Chase Hawk and Josh Perry
• Favorite trick: Tuck no Handers
• Least favorite trick:  I don't have one
• What scares you the most:  big 360's and Scott telling why I should wear a helmet.
• Favorite shoes:  Vans and Lotek ...  do you think they are listening ???
• What are you running for bars:  8.25 Kink Lynx...hey maybe they will read this?
